Mitchell Schwaber, MD
Dr. Mitchell Schwaber is on the medical staff at St. Thomas West Hospital and TriStar Centennial Medical Center. He received his medical education at Baylor Medical College and served residencies at Johns Hopkins University, Baylor and the Ear Foundation in Nashville. He specializes in otology, neurotology and skull base diseases and is board certified in Otolaryngology and in Otology/Neurotology.
Dr. Schwaber founded the Otology Center at Vanderbilt University and served there for 10 years prior to establishing the Nashville ENT Clinic. He is a member of a number of honorary medical societies including; AOA Honorary Society, the American Otological Society and the Triological Society. He is a distinguished lecturer and has published more than 75 articles on a variety of ear disorders and procedures.
He is a nationally recognized expert on Meniere’s disease, vertigo, hearing loss, hearing aids and cochlear implants as well as microsurgical reconstruction of the ear and hearing.
As a physician, Dr. Schwaber says he enjoys “combining the intellectual challenge of determining why a person is sick and the privilege of treating them and making them better”.
